• HCL's association with tennis began in July 2015, when it launched the 'Inter School Tennis Challenge' in Delhi NCR – a large-scale school-level tennis tournament. The tournament aimed at inspiring young tennis talent in U-15 and U-17 age groups to play and compete. The initiative saw an unprecedented participation of over 70 schools, and close to 300 players battled it out at the DLTA tennis courts in Delhi

Followed by the success of the Delhi edition, HCL brought the tournament to the Tennis Hub of India, Chennai, in February 2016. The second edition saw over 50 schools and 200 players compete at Sri Ramachandra University, Porur.

The tournaments were conducted in association with Mahesh Bhupathi Tennis Academies (MBTA), which is the knowledge partner of the event.

Winners of both the tournaments were sent to the SchuttlerWaske Tennis University, Frankfurt, Germany for a week, fully-sponsored training program. Runners-up made their way to the MBTA's high performance center in Kochi.
